The Dallas Mavericks are set to face the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5 of the 2024 NBA playoffs, but they will be without some key players due to injury. Luka Doncic, the Mavericks' leading scorer and rebounder, is questionable for the game with a left calf strain. Doncic has been dealing with the injury since Game 2 of the series, and he sat out Game 4. Kristaps Porzingis, the Mavericks' second-leading scorer, is also questionable for the game with a right knee sprain. Porzingis has been dealing with the injury since Game 1 of the series, and he has played through it in the last three games. Maxi Kleber, the Mavericks' starting power forward, is out for the game with a left ankle sprain. Kleber has been dealing with the injury since Game 3 of the series, and he missed Game 4. The Mavericks will need to find a way to win Game 5 without some of their key players. If they can do so, they will take a 3-2 lead in the series and put themselves in a good position to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
